What to send before your video project starts.

A video project starts faster when the studio has the material in one place. This page lists what to send, why each item matters and what to do when you do not have it yet.

The brief comes first

The brief states the objective, the audience, the channels and the deadline. Everything else you send is read against it, so write it before collecting files.

If you have not written one, use the brief guide below: one page is enough, and an unfinished brief is better than none.

  • Objective: what the film must make someone do.
  • Audience: who watches, and in which language.
  • Channels: where it runs and in which formats.
  • Deadline: the date it must be live, not the date you would like it.

Brand files and product material

Send the logo in vector format, the colours and fonts, and any brand guide. If you have none, send two or three pieces you consider on-brand and we work from them.

For product films, send photos or renders of the product from several angles and any text that must appear on screen exactly as written. We never invent claims about a product.

  • Logo (vector), colours and fonts, brand guide if it exists.
  • Product photos or renders, packshots, approved wording.
  • Existing films you want the new one to sit next to.

Script, notes and references

If you have a script, send it. If you only have notes, send the notes: we write the script and you approve it before anything is produced.

References are films you like, with one line saying what you like in each. Two or three are enough. They tell us more than a paragraph of adjectives.

Languages and voices

List every language and, where it matters, the accent or country. Say whether you want a real voice talent or a synthetic voice for each one; if you do not know, say so and we recommend one per language.

Send the pronunciation of names and terms that must be said a certain way, and the glossary of terms your company already translates in a fixed way.

Who approves, and when

Name one person who gives the final yes and, if there are others, the order in which they see the work. Conflicting feedback from several people at once is the most common cause of delay.

Common questions

What if I do not have a brief yet?
Send what you have. We turn notes and a conversation into a brief, and you approve it before production starts.

Have the material ready? Send the brief.

What it needs to achieve, where it will run and when you need it. We reply with the scope, schedule and quote.
